Pune: India’s startup ecosystem witnessed a sharp rise in investments during the latest funding cycle, according to the Sahyadri Startups Weekly Tracker released in association with Tracxn.
Covering the period 31 Jul–06 Aug, 2026, the Sahyadri Startups Weekly Tracker reported total startup funding of $291.84 million across 21 funding rounds, representing a 401.67% increase over the previous week’s $58.17 million and a 104.08% increase compared to the $143 million recorded during **17 Jul–23 Jul, 2026.
The latest Sahyadri Startups Weekly Tracker shows that early-stage companies attracted the largest share of investments during the week, while Rideriver emerged as the biggest fundraising deal.
Funding jumps to nearly $292 million
According to the Sahyadri Startups Weekly Tracker, Indian startups collectively raised $291.84 million during the week ended 06 Aug, 2026, compared with $58.17 million in the previous week.
The tracker also highlighted:

Early-stage startups dominate funding activity
The Sahyadri Startups Weekly Tracker showed that early-stage startups accounted for the largest share of investments during the reporting period.
Funding by stage included:
- Early-stage funding: $161.46 million
- Late-stage funding: $116.30 million
- Seed-stage funding: $14.08 million
Early-stage funding represented the majority of the week’s capital deployment, followed by late-stage investments, while seed-stage funding accounted for the smallest share.
